Want to appoint the right advisor or consultant for your project? Worried that smaller firms or sole traders might not have capacity to complete the work or to ensure continuity of service in unforeseen circumstances? That's where the School Resource Management Network comes in.
Our members work together to provide the capacity you need. When you receive a proposal, pitch or tender from one of our members, you're getting assurance that your consultant is part of a professional network. They've already taken steps to ensure they have access to sufficient capacity to ensure your work gets done; on time, every time.
Our members are drawn from education consultancy firms across county. That means we can put you in touch with the right local expert or interim support wherever you are based. Our experts understand your locality whether your school / trust is in the South West, the home counties or the Midlands, East or the North of England. We've got up and down the country and right across it.
Whilst many of our members are experts in school and academy finance, our members include individuals and small firms specialising in HR, governance support, marketing & communications, risk management, cyber security, estates, and more.
Our members can usually provide you with an on-site, hybrid or fully remote solution. Get in touch with us today to discuss your needs and we'll circulate your details to our members.
You'll get their expert help and support, contracting directly with them so you retain control of the service level agreement.
As one MAT CEO said "Adding capacity to our team by bringing in a consultant from your network has been brilliant. It's like we added a jet engine to our plans and are getting where we need to go so much faster".

Members are vetted by our community administrators. We review their general professional experience via publicly available relevant professional platforms (e.g. LinkedIn). In the event of a significant, substantiated complaint, membership would be discontinued. We do not provide guarantees as to members' formal qualifications or suitability for your projects - you must perform your own checks and take up appropriate references.
Our members contract with you directly. Your contract and any service level agreement is with the consultant, either as a self-employed practitioner or through their organisation.
No. We are not linked to the DfE. Some of our members are/have been accredited SRMAs. Others have previously been SLEs or NLEs. However, this is a peer to peer network convened and operated by an independent consultancy with no formal links to those programmes.
Our members cover a wide range of operational support and expertise. They can complete standalone projects, work with you on an interim basis or provide long-term support via an SLA or retainer-type arrangement. You can get an idea of the services they provide here.
Remember - our members usually provide a personalised service that the larger firms struggle to accommodate. Speak to our members to find out what they can do for you.
Yes. Let us know what you need support with and we will circulate the details to our members. They will then contact you directly. If that doesn't result in enough quotes, we will happily talk to you to discuss how you might improve the number of quotes you receive.

The School Resource Management Network mentoring offer: if you are a new school business professional, governance professional, senior MAT leader or even a trust chair, then our members can support you. Once we've introduced you to the right mentor for your professional development stage, you can set up a support agreement that meets your specific needs.
We don't just support staff and volunteers in schools and trusts at the start of their journey. We have experienced leaders and governance professionals who can mentor you through a change in role, promotion or simply a complex challenge.
And finally, if you are thinking of leaving full-time role and starting out as a consultant, speaking to one of our members might be just the help you need. Most of us will give you a free initial chat to help you set off in the right direction. You can then buy more advice on a PAYG basis or as a bundle of mentoring hours.
